This has been truly resonating with me for quite a while now, “The truest evidence of change is changing.”
You’ve never really changed until you’ve truly changed.

Well, there’s this thing about changing, it’s a point of realization you mostly reach after having made countless mistakes and breaking a few too many hearts along the way.
Yes! You may make a firm resolve to change – Better still, you may truly change, but almost always, it is hard for those you hurt to forget the pain.
It’s not easy to repair trust when it’s broken.

Even if the wounds heal, there are scars to remind them, and for them to come to terms with the reality that you who were once sinister now is better may take an entire lifetime.

But then, there’s this side to it, does the heartbreaking reality of their unwillingness to forgive you freeze time?
Are the billion and three grudges they happen to bear against you reasons enough for life not to go on?

I guess all I’m trying to say is, you won’t usually get to be forgiven by all those you’ve wronged, but then, keep on doing right.
You don’t have any control that can influence them to let go off the pain you caused them and be better for them, but you surely can decide to forgive yourself and make the most of every second the clock gives you.

If they give you a second chance, splendid! That’s just so relieving, but in case…. just in case… you never get dealt that card of a second chance of being part of their lives, don’t moan and fret, you have very little options on the platter, just make do with the cards you have in hand, and make sure from that time onwards, no matter how far away they are, they can see you’ve truly changed for the better.

Every sunrise is an opportunity to ensure the sun sets with you having lived the best life you ever could…
