The Crush Story …. Sequel Two

I invited her out for several dates, she was reluctant to go for all, even on Val’s day.

Yes, I’m one of those souls who truly believe the concept of Val’s day has been misconstrued and all that, but I also believe like any other day, you can flip every negative intention and truly make someone your heart goes out to feel special.
I think since Val’s day has come to stay, one might as well use it to share with others what love truly stands for, and that it is way beyond sensuality.
Well, that was just by the way 🙃.

I have no other choice than to use the word, “reluctant”, because, she always found a reason not to go – and it does sting a dude’s heart a bit to put in so much effort and not even be met half way.

Was she acting this way because she way shy?
Everything was going on “smooth sailing mode” so I shut my mind to any answers that did not fuel my hope, the hope that maybe, I had finally met the girl worth breaking down all my walls for.

The way she would wait for me after Church, when I asked her to – even sometimes standing alone in a dark street till I rushed over to catch up with her – was making me so sure that I wasn’t in this alone.
I cherished those moments, because they meant I got to see her, even if it was just for some few minutes.

I recall one evening as we passed by this huge drainage, she girlishly squealed and pointed at some bottles being whirled by the current of rushing water (and yet not being carried away) and went like, “Daniel, what’s with happening with those bottles?” – I gave an answer that made me feel so smart, it was some scientific thingy that had to do with action and reaction 😂.

You see, that I even remember this seemingly insignificant detail should tell you how significant the effect this lady had on me was.
